The LiveLinx service is simple to use and generally involves placing a camera and an encoder on site and plugging that into the network connection point. Currently we are trialling a metropolitan camera system in Dublin city centre, providing roving live coverage for ENG crews utilising a compact on board transmitter.
LiveLinx has installed trading equipment on the trading floor and will deliver commentary from a range of experts direct to your newsroom. We set up the link, you choose the expert. Save time and cost. Davy, Merrion and NCB stockbrokers are already connected and being used by RTÉ News.
Our service is available from Croke Park and The Aviva Stadium. LiveLinx broadcast the 6 Nations and the2011 GAA finals, as well as the ROI qualifiers at the Aviva.
Remember Election 2011? RTÉ deployed the LiveLinx service at many of the count centres to report live on the results. Reporters were also able to use the service to update on social media sites. The service was provided on a temporary basis.
Live reporting on the visits by President Obama and Queen Elizabeth II, and the Presidential election was transmitted over the LiveLinx service from venues such as Dublin Castle, Citywest Hotel and City Hall in Cork.
